Two Indian cricket players going head-to-head in the team’s tour game versus Leicestershire XI was an incredible sight for Indian cricket fans.
When India’s Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill opened the batting for the tour game, Indian bowlers Jasprit Bumrah and Prasidh Krishna bowled for Leicestershire. In order to warm up for the rescheduled Test match against England, Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara also are playing for the hosts against the Indian squad.
Before being caught by Roman Walker after top-edging a pull shot, Rohit Sharma managed to score 25 runs.

But before that, a Bumrah in-cutter put Rohit in a tight situation.
The ball moved abruptly from the length and struck the Indian Test captain in the crotch, causing agony. Rohit was forced to spend some time on the ground after being hit by the delivery.

The rescheduled Test between India and England will start on July 1 at Edgbaston. To win their first Test series in England since 2007, the Indians, who are up 2-1 in the series, would like to either win or draw this game.
Since the 2007 series win under current head coach Rahul Dravid, India has lost three-Test series in England. India lost the 2011 series by 4-0, the 2014 series by 3-1 and the 2018 series by 4-1.
Due to a Covid outbreak in the Indian camp, the fifth Test match of India’s tour last year was postponed.
Earlier Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first in the game. India got off to a good start as they reached 50 for the loss of just one wicket but after that India’s top order and middle order could not stay for longer durations on the crease. Shreyas Iyer, Hanuma Vihari and Ravindra Jadeja all were dismissed cheaply. At lunch, Virat Kohli and KS Bharat were on strike with India struggling at 90-5.
