Star Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) all-rounder Glenn Maxwell dismissed veteran Punjab Kings (PBKS) opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan in the 60th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Friday, May 13.
Shikhar Dhawan, who is Punjab Kings’ highest run-getter in the Indian Premier League 2022, was cleaned up by Australian all-rounder Maxwell on the last ball of the 5th over of the match.
Dhawan, who is the only PBKS batter to cross 400 runs mark in the IPL 2022, was able to score 21 runs off 15 balls, including 2 fours and 1 six.
Notably, Maxwell, who bowls off-spin, bowled a short of a length ball to the PBKS opener and Dhawan went for a slog-sweep and he exposed the stumps. However, Dhawan was short of his sweep and he missed his shot completely, which led to the ball going and crashing into the stumps.
