Liam Heath won gold in Rio

Liam Heath has missed out on a double-Gold medal after claiming the bronze in the Sprint Canoe Olympic contest.

The Olympic champion earlier came second fastest in his semi-final test, with a time of 35.108.

He was defending the title he won in Rio at the race today.

Hungary’s Sandor Totka took the gold at the race with a winning time of 35.035. Italy’s Manfredi Rizza won the silver medal.
