Delhi Capitals (DC) leg-spinner Kuldeep Yadav successfully showcased his former franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), what they were missing with a great performance.
He capped off his night with a brilliant running catch off his own bowling to dismiss Umesh Yadav. Chasing 216, KKR was already in trouble and Kuldeep put the final nail in the coffin with a triple-wicket over.
He first dismissed Pat Cummins and Sunil Narine before seeing the back of Umesh. He ended with 4 wickets on the night, none better than the last wicket of Umesh. Kuldeep tossed one up to which Umesh tried slogging hard.
The KKR pacer only managed a top-edge that flew high into the evening sky. Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep were running toward the ball but it was the latter who eventually took a tumbling catch to end with figures of 4/35 in four overs.
Meanwhile, David Warner returned to form with a fifty in the first innings. Alongside Prithvi Shaw at the top, Warner ensured DC had the perfect platform to put up a huge total on the board.
