Harshal Patel picks 2/23 vs Mumbai Indians
Harshal picked the wickets of Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma and Ramandeep Singh and continued his tremendous form with the figures of 2/23. MI openers threatened to post a big total as Rohit (26) and Ishan Kishan (26) put 50 runs in their opening stand.
Just after the powerplay overs, Harshal got the breakthrough for RCB as he returned a low catch off his own bowling to send back Rohit to the dugout. Harshal bowled an off-cutter to poke Ramdeep’s edge with Dinesh Karthik pouches it inches before the ball could hit the surface.
The RCB pacer just conceded one run in five balls against MI before Suryakumar Yadav smashed him for a six in the final delivery as MI posted 151/6 in the first innings. RCB chased the score with ease as youngster Anuj Rawat (66) and Virat Kohli (48) set the tone through their 80-run stand for the third wicket.
In the match against KKR, bowled a phenomenal spell of 2/11 from four overs as the Shreyas Iyer-led side was bowled out for 128. Harshal bowled two maiden overs in that game and became only the second bowler after teammate Mohammed Siraj to achieve the feat.
